Fire fighting Helicopter

The main mission of our engaged helicopters is the dropping of water. They are equipped with belly tanks (Kit Konair 900l) or Bamby Buckets (600L-3 000L tanks hanging under the belly‘s aircraft). They are based in centres where they can intervene quickly enough contain or put out a fire before it involves too important means. Our equipment allows aircrafts to refuel in water close to the disaster (lakes, tanks, or connect with a water-carrier) and ensures a quasi-permanent support for the ground operations.

Our pilots are trained in all techniques of air fire fighting:
	Incipient fire attack
	Persons and property protection
	Edges treatment

Monitoring and coordination of air operations

During large operations we can provide to the rescue commandment a “HQ helicopter” with on board an AERO officer in charge of the air actions coordination. Our Fire fighting helicopters pilots are experimented on this kind of missions. Many of them got qualified by the Civil Security’s “forest fire” training programme. On the commanding officer’s demand they can regularly realize air Canadair’s guidance.
